Early on in October, I had a chance to do a shoot with Class of 2015 Senior Gina. Our original plans for Gina had been to use Roger Williams Park, but that got quickly squashed when I realized there was a bicyclist event being hosted at the park that usually tracks in about 10,000 people! Therefore we decided to stay away – very far away. We opted for an early morning shoot at Lincoln Woods in Rhode Island instead. While this wasn’t our initially planned location, I think it turned out for the better! It was quite cool for an October morning, but we had some absolutely gorgeous lighting that made it worth the slight chill. While end of day shoots prior to sunset are great for lighting, you can get some fantastic light in the morning as well. It was great to be able to take advantage of some locations within the park that you typically can’t later on in the day.
Can I just say I love Gina’s L.L. Bean boots? Even the laces made for a fun kick of color. She wasn’t kidding when she said they sell out fast online (yes, I actually checked out of curiosity and temptation to get a similar pair).
We loved the pop of yellow leaves against her gorgeous sweater!
Despite the chill, Gina toughed it out and switched into a red dress that went perfect with the foliage – and talk about some killer heels!
Thanks Gina for a fun session, and best of luck while applying to colleges!
